Sinupret: Each dragee contains gentian root (Gentianae radix) 6 mg, primrose flowers with calyx (Primulae flos) 18 mg, common sorrel herb (Rumicus herba) 18 mg, elder flowers (Sambuci flos) 18 mg and shop vervain wort (Verbenae herba) 18 mg.
Sinupret Forte: Each dragee contains: Sambucus nigra L. (Elder flower) 36 mg, Primula veris L. and Primula elatior (L.) Hill (Primula flower with calyx) 36 mg, Rumex crispus L. (Common sorrel herb) 36 mg, Verbena officinalis L. (Verbena herb) 36 mg, Gentiana lutea L. (Gentian root) 12 mg.

Indications/Uses

In acute and chronic inflammation of the paranasal sinuses and of the respiratory tract, also as supplementary measure in antibacterial therapy.

Dosage

Sinupret: Unless otherwise prescribed: Adults: 2 dragees 3 times daily.
Children of School Age: 1 dragee 3 times daily.
Sinupret dragees are to be swallowed whole with some liquid, if necessary.
Sinupret Forte: Adults and adolescents from the age of 12 years: 1 dragee 3 times per day.
Sinupret Forte dragees are to be taken unchewed with some liquid (e.g. a glass of water). Patients with a sensitive stomach are advised to take Sinupret Forte dragees after meals.
Sinupret Forte dragees should not be taken for longer than 7-14 days. Please refer to Precautions.

Contraindications

Sinupret: Sinupret dragees must not be taken in cases of hypersensitivity to one of its active or inactive ingredients.
Sinupret Forte: Hypersensitivity to the active substances or to any of the excipients of the medicinal product.

Precautions

Sinupret Forte: This medicinal product contains glucose, lactose, sucrose and sorbitol. Patients with rare hereditary problems of fructose and galactose intolerance, lactase deficiency or glucose-galactose malabsorption or sucrase-isomaltase insufficiency should not take Sinupret Forte dragees. If symptoms last longer than 7-14 days or recur periodically, consult a physician.
Children: The use in children under 12 years of age is not recommended because of lack of sufficient data.
Effects on ability to drive and use machines: No special precautions are necessary.

Use In Pregnancy & Lactation

Administration during pregnancy and lactation only after strict risk-benefit evaluation by the attending physician.

Sinupret: Very rare cases of gastrointestinal disorders (eg, stomachache, nausea) and hypersensitivity reactions (exanthema, erythema, pruritus, angioedema, dyspnea, face edema) have been reported. In these cases, intake of Sinupret dragees should be discontinued and a physician must be consulted.
Sinupret Forte: Gastrointestinal disorders (e.g. stomach ache, nausea) are uncommon. Hypersensitivity reactions of the skin (e.g. exanthema, erythema, pruritus) are rare. Furthermore, allergic reactions such as angioedema, dyspnoea, face oedema have been reported. In these cases, stop intake of Sinupret Forte dragees and consult a physician.
